Jason Knight began making knives when he was just 9 years old. Jason enjoys making bowies and larger knives the best. When we asked Jason why he made knives, "Making knives is the best art medium, it is fun, you can paint, carve, engrave. I enjoy making functional art, every knife I make can be used." Jason was originally a stone carver and sculpter. In 2001 he was awarded "Best New Maker" at the blade show west. In 2002-2003 he was awarded "South Carolina Knifemaker of the Year."
